Something special for your next chapter.
Second Story is a curated collection of fashion and home pieces inspired by the places that stay with us and the beauty of giving things another life.
The shop name has a double meaning. Every piece here is secondhand, thoughtfully sourced, and ready for a second story of its own. But it’s also a nod to storytelling. A former writer, I’ve spent years traveling, living in different places, and paying attention to the little details that make each one feel distinct. The colors, textures, buildings, bookstores, cafés, coastlines, and the way people dress all become part of a place’s story.
Over time, I realized many of the pieces I’m drawn to remind me of the places I’ve loved most. A worn leather jacket feels like New York in late fall. A striped cotton shirt belongs in coastal New England. A silk scarf could’ve been picked up at a market in Rome.
I’ve always loved secondhand shopping, both for the sustainability of it and for the thrill of finding something special. There’s something meaningful about preserving well-made pieces and giving them another chapter. Natural fibers are my favorite, especially cotton, silk, and cashmere. Many of the pieces found here are worn-in, imperfect in the best ways, and made with a level of craftsmanship that’s increasingly hard to find.
Pieces are sourced everywhere and anywhere with a good story to tell — abroad, in thrift and antique stores across New England, New York City, and California, at estate sales and yard sales, on Facebook Marketplace, and sometimes even from friends’ closets.
If it’s beautiful, well-made, and feels like it belongs in one of these worlds, there’s a good chance it’ll find its way here.
My hope is that you’ll discover something that reminds you of a favorite place, sparks a memory, or feels like something you’ll love for years to come.
